mmm....butter LONDON

Before we headed to Mexico with clients Eugene and Michelle to plan their wedding in Puerto Vallarta in January, I was treated to a manicure by Leslie at butter LONDON.

The Westlake location is refreshing and fun - with easy access and a cool ambiance.
butter LONDON's products are awesome - they are 3 Free, which means they contain no Formaldehyde, no Toluene, and DBP - which in turns means you have happy and beautiful nails!
Think about reserving the Westlake or Starbucks headquarters locations for a wedding party treat and spruce up your nails for the big day with traditional colors like:
Frilly Knickers, Diamond Geezer, Nothing Hill, and Queen Vic, and for a garden wedding, try the peachy Tea with the Queen. Or, make a statement by going with the bright pink London Underground or gold and glittery West End Wonderland. (Being in love with London, I fell for these fun name spins on all things British)!

For our trip I chose the fun Charlie Dickens polish for some extra pop.

Christmas at the Fairmont

We had the honor of planning a fabulous Christmas dinner for a family of seven at the amazing Fairmont Olympic in downtown Seattle. Known as the "Grand Dame" of Seattle, the Fairmont went above and beyond the call of duty in providing an elegant and amazing background on Christmas night.

Rowell Llanillo from SparkLL Invitations in Seattle provided the chic invites that set the tone for the jewel-toned event. Fanciful ornaments dazzled the room while guest noshed on macaroons and tarts from Sugar! Cake Studio.

Guests were transported in a 1963 Princess Daimler from British Motor Coach as snow started to fall over the city. They departed in a black Lincoln stretch to complete the fantastic night out on the town. Happy Christmas!

Fabulous, decadent desserts!

It's high time to toast Tobey at Sugar! Cake Studio who makes the most amazing desserts and confections your heart can desire. We recently worked with Tobey on Mako & Booth's downtown Seattle wedding to create a dessert close to Booth's heart (or sweet tooth), a Mexican tres leches cake famous in his home state of Texas. Not only was the cake to-die for, but it looked fabulous, Tobey made it to look like a traditional white wedding cake on the outside. She offered wedding guests awesome bread pudding drizzled with whiskey sauce to accompany the cake (guests from Texas raved about both) and both were the talk of the evening!

Tobey also whipped up some fabulous sweet treats for a 50th birthday party we coordinated in Tacoma - pumpkin tartlets, chocolate and Grand Marnier truffles, mini éclairs, and fabulous hazelnut petit fours. The desserts perfectly reflected our theme of wines and scrumptious goodies from regions around the world and paired perfectly with wines from several regions and villages in France - Sainte Croix du Mont, Saussignac, and notably Sauternes from Bordeaux. The soiree was a success and the Man of the Hour couldn't have been happier - we, in part, attribute this to the lovely dozens of desserts!

It's Official - Danelle & Jason tied the knot!

We started working with Danelle and Jason a year ago so it was bittersweet seeing them making it official. Their winter-themed wedding dazzled in the Olympic Ballroom at the Edgewater Hotel on the waterfront. The weather even cooperated and they were able to take photos outside while it was sunny!

Danelle looked gorgeous in her sparkly wedding gown and Jason couldn't have looked happier. The wedding went off without a hitch and the guests raved about the chocolate, white, and pink accents. Christiane from Flora Nova created the centerpieces that incorporated lovely pink roses with sparkly branches tying together the winter theme. Dinner was fabulous - guests noshed on seared halibut and tender sirloin steak with a brie topping (my favorite!) and d'anjou pear chutney. Amber Roberts was the photographer and was fun and great to work with - we can't wait to see the final product! As usual, DJ Mike Garcia was fantastic and spun songs that kept the guests dancing until it was time to go home. Danelle and Jason are spending their honeymoon in Cabo and we look forward to catching up with them when they return!
